Tokyo (JCNN) - Noevir (TSE:4916) announced on
March 28 that the cosmetics company has discovered a unique property
of Chinese fan-palm (Livistona chinensis) found in Uke Island,
Kagoshima Prefecture. An extract derived from Chinese fan-palm
promotes collagen extraction and increases the activity of human
dermal fibroblasts, according to the recent
research.
Subsequently, Noevir has concluded that the extract
is effective to prevent aging-induced skin slackness. Based on this
discovery, the company plans to launch new cosmetics this summer.
Detailed research results will be presented at the Annual
Meeting of Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and
Agrochemistry to be held in Sapporo from March 28 to 30.
